On this Tour you will paddle through three different bodies of water; The Gulf of Mexico, Cow Key Channel and into the Mangrove Mazes to get into the Salt ponds of Key West. Our Tour guides will share the History of Key West and South Florida, educate you on the flora and fauna that you may encounter and see throughout the tour and discuss how to become more sustainable in today's world.

Unique Experience in the Keys

This was our favorite thing we did in Key West! Blue Moon keeps their groups super small, so you can really get into the winding tunnels of the mangroves. Our guide, Aaron, was great! Super nice and very knowledgeable. We saw a nurse shark, jelly fish, crabs, an ibis, and pelicans. It was a really unique experience, and it's appropriate for "all levels." A very leisurely paddle/float through a unique environment. Highly recommend!

Phillip was a magnificent guide -- so passionate about the mangroves and so knowledgeable about the wildlife -- he knew every bird and it was clear he spent so much time in the swamp -- knew where to find the sharks and the ospreys. Can't imagine finding our way through the maze without help -- guide is the only way to go
Blue Moon is the one!

This activity is a must-do, and I mean a MUST-DO when in Key West!! Phil was our leader and knowledgeable guide. He is a true expert on all things Key West. The mangroves are magical and Phil enhanced the experience greatly. Blue Moon is the ONLY way to go! This is our 5th visit to Key West and we were so sorry we didn't discover Blue Moon sooner. We plan on being repeat customers. Hope to see you again next year Phil!!

Really cool mangrove tunnels….went at low tide which seemed like a good time to go because the mangroves were more passable.

Keira was a phenomenal guide! We got a private tour because of the weather and lucked out! She showed us through the whole mangrove maze taking time to point out wildlife and the finer points about the mangrove ecosystem. We definitely recommend this tour!
